2023 Pavement and Pedestrian Improvements Project
NOTICE OF UPCOMING WORK AND TRAFFIC IMPACTS
This notice regards temporary traffic impacts for the above project for paving on Jameson Street and Cook Road.
The 2023 Pavement and Pedestrian Improvements Project consists of preparing Cook Road for a full width asphalt overlay between the west City limits and the W Ferry Street roundabout and preparing Jameson Street for a full width asphalt overlay between Township Street and Railroad Avenue. The preparation work will include curb ramp removal and replacements and grinding the existing asphalt along the curb lines before placing a 2-inch lift of asphalt.
COOK ROAD
Work on Cook Road is anticipated to start the week of September 25th, and paving operations scheduled for the week of October 9th. The pavement grinding operations will take place during normal working hours. The final asphalt paving on Cook Road is planned to be done at night to minimize traffic impacts.
Cook Road will be open to at least one lane of traffic at all times during normal working hours and night paving operations. There will be access delays during the grinding and paving operations. These delays will be kept to a minimum as much as possible and we will work with you to insure you are able to get in or out when you need to.
JAMESON STREET
The paving preparation and paving work will impact parking along Jameson Street. In order to perform the grinding work along curbs and the final overlay paving, it will be necessary to have all vehicles cleared from the street while these operations take place. Jameson Street may be closed for the paving.
Work on Jameson Street is anticipated to start the week of September 18th, and paving operations scheduled for the week of September 25th. We will give advance notice of the upcoming work when we will need to have Jameson Street cleared of vehicles.
The paving schedules for both Jameson Street and Cook Road are weather dependent and as such, subject to change. We will provide updated notices, as necessary.
