Maintenance & Operations

What We Do:  The City’s Public Works Maintenance & Operations Division takes great pride in maintaining and operating the City's infrastructure. The division is responsible for City streets, storm water drainage system, parks, facilities, and the Union Cemetery. Routine maintenance includes street sweeping, pot hole patching, paint striping, street light repairs, tree trimming, alley and shoulder grading, snow and ice control, ditch mowing and cleaning and repairs and maintenance to underground storm sewer pipes. The Division maintains the City's park system, operates the Union Cemetery and maintains all City rights of way. We also provide maintenance and custodial services for the Municipal Building, Community Center, Public Library and Police and Fire facilities, and maintain the beautiful flower baskets displayed throughout the city.
