National Drug Take Back Day and Wellness Fair

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day and Wellness Fair

10/29/22 10am to 2pm
Sedro-Woolley City Hall
325 Metcalf St

The City of Sedro-Woolley will be hosting a National Drug Take Back Day and Wellness Fair at City Hall on Saturday, October 29th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Drug Take Back Day is a national vvent that SWPD and Sedro-Woolley Rise Coalition has participated in since 2019. This is a great program that allows an avenue for our community to participate in a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs. It also allows us to educate for safe disposal and locations of year-round drop off locations in Sedro-Woolley.
Take-Back Day Oct 29 2022

SWPD
has a prescription drop off box in our lobby, as well as pre-paid mailers to send them off to the business that disposes of them, should our box be full (or if you keep forgetting to bring them in). It is important to get rid of unused medication so they don’t get abused by our youth. Other year-round drop off locations are Schaffner Pharmacy and Hometown Pharmacy. Drug Take Back will occur outside with a drop off lane. Come join us and coalition members if you would like to volunteer, participate or just show your support.

This year has been expanded to include a Wellness Fair involving more partnerships with Helping Hands Food Bank, Schaffner Pharmacy, United General Hospital, North Sound ACH, and Skagit County Public Health.

  • Schaffner Pharmacy: Blood Pressure Checks
  • WIC/United Fitness Center: Information Booth with Material and Resources
  • Helping Hands Food Bank: Information Booth
  • Skagit County Public Health: Ability to Distribute Naloxone (Narcan), Fentanyl Test Strips, Substance Use and Substance Use Disorder and Behavioral Health Resource Materials
