2022 Thanksgiving Community Dinner Canceled

The Community Dinner has been canceled for 2022.   This was a difficult decision to make but with Covid-19 cases continuing to rise in the county and the fact that we serve some of the most vulnerable in our community we feel that this is the right course of action at this time.

It is our intention that this event will resume in 2023.

There are many ways other ways to help our community year around.

The Helping Hands Food Bank need volunteers in every aspect of their operations.

Most Pressing:

  • Help to box up Thanksgiving meals that will be distributed at Inspire Church on the weekend before Thanksgiving
  • The food bank is also looking to raise $4,000 to help with the cost of these items. As we all know the price of food is very expensive for all of us right now so if you can please consider a donation. They have many ways to get involved and also very flexible hours.  Volunteer - Helping Hands Food Bank

Other opportunities in our community include:

Open Door Community Kitchen in Sedro-Woolley: Serves meals at Central United Methodist Church on Polte Rd. during the last full week of each month.  Contact Central United Methodist Church in Sedro-Woolley at 360-856-6412 or email: centralumcsw@yahoo.com for volunteer information.
